Panel Discussion and Workshop
Introduction
There will be a panel discussion and dissection of the themes within the exhibition, moderated by Dr Catharina Hendrick, lecturer of Museum and Gallery Practice at UCL Qatar.
This will be followed by a workshop exploring the Artist Residency programme at Fire Station and the practices of some of the artists presenting work in the show.
We are delighted to be joined by Dr Catharina Hendrick who will be moderating the panel discussion. Dr Catharina Hendrick is Lecturer of Museum and Gallery Practice at UCL Qatar. She received her MA in Museum Studies and a PhD from the University of Leicester, UK. The PhD project explored how collecting new media art affected two regional museums from an institutional perspective. She is interested in contemporary art generally, museum management and leadership. Her professional museum experience includes work as project manager for the 'Silver Sounds' exhibition project at the Naughton Gallery at Queen's University Belfast (which won a Times Higher Award for Excellence in the Arts). Finally, she was a consultant/project manager for the Public Catalogue Foundation's (PCF) photography project of oil paintings in a public collection (Queen's University).
